April Saturday, 4/17-Children's Creativity Corner at Riverside Arts Market Join us as we host the free children's arts activity at the Riverside Arts Market. Our own drumming instructor, Ken Anoff, will help us introduce community children to hand drumming, a program that we offer. Also the Spring 2010 Tribal Dance class will teach particpants the basics of tribal dance around noon. We will be there from 10am to 4pm, so stop by and check us out. Riverside Rhythms Drum Club Grades 7-12 Mondays, Starting 4/19 The Riverside Rhythms Drum Club is a new program that begins Monday, April 19th, at 4:00pm. Students in 7th thru 12th grade are invited to join regardless of prior drumming experience. (5th & 6th graders upon instructor approval) This club will meet once a week and will focus on hand drumming techniques including timing, rhythm, and teamwork. Club dues are $30 quarterly. May Saturday, 5/1-Workshops Each workshop runs from 10am-12pm.
Parents are invited to join students after the workshop from 12-12:30pm to enjoy the tasty dishes they have prepared. Cost is $20.
During this workshop, students will enjoy a sunny spring morning with Mr. Fred while they learn about seasonal fruits and veggies and basic gardening techniques. Cost is $20.
Zoe's Kitchen in Five Points is sponsoring this workshop and participating students' artwork be displayed in the restaurant. Cost is $30. Saturday, 5/8-Workshops

June - August Summer Arts Camp 6/28-8/6 Summer Camp is back! This summer we are offering 6 full weeks of creative art, exciting music, and outdoor fun for Pre-K through 5th grade. Camp starts June 28 and runs Monday through Friday until August 6. Each day students will participate in music, art, outdoor activities, and a specialty art class such as Spanish or Drama, that changes every week. At the RCAC Summer Arts Camp your child will learn, grow, create, laugh, and truly shine.
For K-5th grade, camp hours are 9am-3pm and each week costs $125. Before care is from 7:30am-9:00pm and costs $15 a week. After care is available from 3:00pm-5:30pm and costs $20 per week. For Pre-K, camp hours are 9am-12:30pm. Tuition for regular camp hours is $85. After lunch at 12:30pm, Pre-K students can be picked up or have the option to stay from 12:30pm-3:00pm for an extra $20 a week. Regular after care is also available from 3:00pm-5:30pm for $20 a week. Students will need to bring their own lunch everday! Also, a short gala will be held every Friday afternoon at 3pm to showcase the artwork or performances the students have worked on throughout the week.
